VID has developed and manufactured modern control consoles for new vessels, ensuring safety and comfort in operation.

During a working visit to Kazan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev, together with the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the local river port, where they inspected two new high-speed hydrofoil vessels of the Meteor-2020 project (hull numbers 205 and 206). The vessels were built at the A. M. Gorky Zelenodolsk Plant.

Of particular note is the fact that the Nizhny Novgorod-based enterprise VID NN developed an innovative system that ensures maximum safety and efficiency in operating hydrofoil vessels.

VID specialists conducted comprehensive tests of the control system, confirming its reliability and compliance with all technical requirements. Development of the console required the implementation of advanced technologies and the involvement of highly qualified engineers.

It should be recalled that the Tatarstan fleet already operates two similar vessels—Mikhail Devyatayev and Musa Jalil. The new Meteors can reach speeds of up to 65 kilometres per hour and carry up to 120 passengers, while being equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable journey: comfortable seats, Wi-Fi, baggage compartments, and special provisions for persons with limited mobility.
