This week, we will introduce you to the Automation Department of VID Company LLC. This department develops and commissions vessel control systems for technical equipment—the team creates integrated solutions for maritime and river transport.

Our specialists design and integrate intelligent technical equipment control systems, develop power conversion equipment for power systems and various mechanisms, and create specialized applications for telemetry data collection, alarm management, and control devices.

The department’s core expertise includes configuring automatic control systems of varying complexity, implementing protective interlocks, and ensuring fail-safe equipment operation under extreme operating conditions. We guarantee the reliability of every solution, supported by many years of industry experience and an understanding of the specific operational requirements of river and sea-going vessels.

Ilya Baluev is a software engineer for process control systems. His work covers the full cycle: from designing software architecture and user-friendly graphical interfaces for operators to commissioning and final preparation of all design documentation for these systems.

Ilya began his career in student construction teams under the auspices of Rosatom, where he participated in the construction of the Belarusian and Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plants. This experience taught him to work with facilities of varying complexity, where compromises in quality and safety are unacceptable—a principle he now applies to the design of technical equipment control systems.

Nikita Stupin is a software engineer for vessel process equipment control systems. He develops software and graphical interfaces for operator stations, which become the control centers for vessel equipment, and also carries out commissioning.

Nikita is a multiple prize winner in kettlebell lifting competitions, where endurance and self-control are essential. He applies the same principles in his work: creating interfaces in which every action must be carefully calibrated and control systems must operate reliably over long periods.

Aleksandr Vedeneev is a software engineer specializing in the development and commissioning of power conversion equipment (devices), as well as writing control software for it. Aleksandr gained unique experience by participating in the project for the first domestic hydrogen-powered vessel, on which VID Company LLC worked for an extended period.

His sporting journey—from a full-size football pitch to the fast-paced table tennis table—taught him the key principle: any complex system is controlled through monitoring, precision, and calculation. He applies these very principles in developing software for power conversion equipment, where every algorithm must be refined down to the smallest detail.

Dmitry Mokeev is a software engineer engaged in creating and developing software for operator monitors and power module control boards, combining process visualization with physical equipment control. Dmitry also performs commissioning of the above-mentioned equipment.

The core principle of our company is reliability, as in medicine. Dmitry, a software engineer who previously worked on configuring medical equipment and life-support systems, develops software in which every line of code is responsible for safety. Because on board, just as in an operating room, there is no room for error.

Andrey Shipov is a commissioning engineer specializing in commissioning work both at the company’s premises and at customer sites. His responsibilities include developing main switchboard (MSB) diagrams, as well as subsequent verification and testing of these diagrams to ensure their correct operation and compliance with technical requirements.

Andrey grew up around the fleet: from an early age, he went on voyages, and by the age of 15 he was already helping his father aboard a vessel. This unique experience became the basis of his professional instinct—today, as a commissioning engineer, he intuitively understands how electrical equipment will behave under real operating conditions.

Sergey Ustintsev is a software engineer at VID Company LLC who creates intelligent software suites for technical equipment control and alarm and warning systems. His responsibilities include developing control logic and software for operator panels, as well as preparing detailed operating manuals—his solutions ensure reliable monitoring and safe operation of vessel equipment in normal and emergency situations.

He grew up in a family dynasty of engineers, where not only everyday matters but also diagrams and projects were discussed at the family table. This heritage became his internal quality standard: every line of code and every algorithm carries responsibility not only to the customer, but also to the family tradition behind it.

Respectfully, Your VID Company team
